Agreed 100%. I love how athletes keep on getting one chance after another and they just waste it like this because they keep on thinking they'll get chance after change. It's a shame to see this happen, it really is.

I disagree a bit on this thought. The league did Odell no favors when it suspended him. It is a known fact that people with substance abuse issues, especially those involving alcohol, are much more prone to depression and increased abuse of substances when they are not in a structured environment or they lose their jobs. By keeping Thurman from working the league provided more opportunity for him to relapse.
It is a shame, it really is. A shame to see a man not be able to battle his demons and a shame to see a league that profits from players not try and do as much as it can to provide appropriate treatment.
It's a lose-lose-lose situation. Odell loses, the league loses, and the fans lose.

Agree 100% mooch, his suspension was in no way beneficial. He would of still been doing what he loved, the fans I'm sure would much rather see him turn is life around while doing something he loves than wasting away, and I'm sure less suspensions would look good for the league, regardless of the message Goodell is trying to send.

Looks like he also punched a guy in the face at a waterpark and broke his jaw and is sought by local law enforcement on a felonious assault warrant. :-t
