Jeez, -28 C here today (that's -18 F) and tons of snow on the ground!

It's one if those days where the sky is very clear and the sun feels intense. It's only 45 degrees but there's no wind. I'm in my car in the park with the roof open. Sun sure feels nice on the mug.

We awoke to 3 inches of snow this morning, but it is suppose to get up to the mid-40s today. Everytime the snow finally melts and we see grass, we get another storm that blankets the entire area
I read something today - wish I could find the link - that the National Weather Service is going to roll out next Spring an alert system that functions over cell phones. It will be county-based, so that each county can let the cell towers that reside in it ping all the phones within a limited range of immediate alerts like tornadoes.
