where the heck did you work...in a Cambodian Sweatshop? i know we have child labor laws here in America, but maybe they dont apply in farm country?

I worked 60+ a week to put myself through college, I missed out on a lot as well. Don't recommend it. I have something else about high school I wouldn't recommend, but I won't post it here.

Dan, in MN, I don't know about other places, 16 is our cutoff. Under 16 you can't work longer than 8 hours in a day and you can't work after 6 or 7PM on a school night, i forget which. I used to be a personnel director. Once you are 16, you can put in those hours if you want. Not sure what it is in other places. You can also get permission from parents to go beyond those. Granted this was the better part of a decade ago, no idea what's what now.

So m16, you said part of the reason you needed to get the job was so you could pay for your car insurance... did you just get your license/get your first car??
