OK, so it turns out the latest "foot" was a hoax. Not the best idea for a prank, considering the possibility that these other feet are part of something pretty bad.
TORONTO (Reuters) - Canadian police said on Friday they plan to launch an investigation into a macabre prank, after what was thought to be a severed human foot that washed up on the Pacific Coast turned out to be a hoax.
"Whether it was something that was done for a laugh or as a joke or for attention, it's not something that will be tolerated," Royal Canadian Mounted Police Const. Annie Linteau told Reuters.
The RCMP has appealed to the public for information and will begin further investigations soon, Linteau said.

Silly Canadians.
While mildly funny, it does seem incredibly ridiculous. It was found on Monday and confirmed fake on Thursday.
There's an operative word in Met's post that explains that. I've highlighted it for your benefit.
That's alright. If it was in the US, we would have already figured out the fake foot thing, but the members of the town would probably already have a class-action lawsuit against somebody for getting them scared again.
Well, it gets pretty lonely in Canada's far northern hinterland and sometimes when man & beast meet, passions surge and we end up with some unusual crossbreeds, hence the confusion when this latest foot was found!
