WINTER PARK, Fla. -- A Central Florida woman is filing a civil lawsuit against a dentist accused of dropping a screwdriver and another medical tool down her father's throat that she claims led to his death.

This is really an amazing story. I mean, I don't know which is worse. The fact he dropped the tools down the man's throat. TWICE or the fact that he went back to the same dentist after he caused a colonoscopy. 8-o

Well, he basically admitted it according to his comments. With a court ruling pending I don't know if that was such a good idea. Seems like a pretty terrible mistake. It's not like a throat is that big. How do you drop a tool down and lose it? I agree. I don't think he should be practicing anymore. :-°

Yeah, 17 grand and more training is not proper reparation for (allegedly) killing a man. Heck, its not proper reparation for dropping a tool down somebody's throat twice.

How do you lose a grip on a tool TWICE and even more oddly, how does it go down the guy's throat TWICE?

I think the fact that the guy went back to the same dentist is worse. :-?

I don't understand how the guy can swallow a medical tool in the 1st place (let alone twice!). Did the guy feel the medical tool fall into his throat and think that the dentist was feeding him? I would think most people would gag on the medical tool which would allow the dentist to remove it before it actually got swallowed. Just one more reason to avoid going to the dentist. :-S
