Shock jock Don Imus apparently didn't learn his lesson.
About a year after his slur against the Rutgers women's basketball team got him yanked from the air, Imus made an apparent racial jab at troubled NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones Monday.
In the latest flap, Imus asked on his WABC radio show "What color is he?" after "Imus in the Morning" sports announcer Warner Wolf mentioned the football player's suspension and six arrests. Wolf responded that Jones is African-American, and a chuckling Imus replied, ""There you go. Now we know."
Much ado about nothing IMO...just like the 1st incident should've been. You left out the part of the article where he explains what he meant. He said that what he meant was that the reason Pacman was getting picked on by the police was because he's black...not what other people assumed he meant. George Carlin said it best about censorship...if you don't like what you're listening to, change the channel. I'm sick of all the PC BS that goes on nowadays. What happened to free speech? Leave the Imus's & Howard Stern's of the world alone and focus on real problems.
For one, I actually believe Imus is telling the truth when it comes to what he meant by that statement. However, because of his recent track record, I think he should have been a heck of a lot more careful with his choice of words. For one, if I've recently been in trouble for saying racially insensitive things, you can bet your bottom dollar I wouldn't dare approach such subjects without giving some serious thought to what I'm going to say.
Nobody knows but him what he meant, but his explanation seems valid to me. Don't see any choice here but to take him for his word, but he should certainly smarten up in the future and be more clear when discussing race.

I couldn't agree more - let the media storm die down already and move on to more relevant topics! And Imus should keep his mouth shut on these issues and play it safe for a while for sure
I dunno, I found his explanation really lame and insincere. I've listened to the clip and his explanation is not what comes across. Hardly doubt he's suddenly all sympathetic to blacks either. But anyways, I don't listen to Imus and never have, so what do I care.

I agree with the above, enough with Media attacking Media, I want real coverage on things that matter, who cares what Don Imus says? Answer: People who listen to him. I don't so every time he says something I don't need to hear about it.
