For some reason I couldn't get into Diablo 2. Perhaps it's the top down view. I think I'd be more interested if it was 1st person. Bethesda > Blizzard IMHO.

see i feel the opposite. i just could not get into oblivion and i tried again and again it just never did anything for me. diablo on the other hand was hours upon hours of time spent playing it. it'll remain to be seen how well fallout 3 does but outside of that bethesda's stuff does nothing for me.

To me, this game just looks like a nice dose of epic fail. It looks basically like the second one (which was very important to gaming because it was one of the first successful action games mixed rpg elements) only with improved graphics and change of classes. I think for it being released this much later after Diablo 2, it should be MUCH more improved...

I was never a fan of the Diablo series that much but Blizzard is the best PC game maker out there.

I can't believe they've been working on it since 2004...

I'm still way more pumped for Starcraft 2. :-D

Blizz is by far the best out there. If any of you haven't watched the Diablo III trailers, I would highly recommend doing so. ;-D

For those interested, it's open beta weekend now through Monday to stress tests the servers. Just go to battle.net and you'll see the info/links to download. In total it's ~3.5 gigabytes. I'm downloading it now.
