actually haven't been to Stockton...has to be better than Tracy though. I mean Tracy is not that bad but just not a lot to offer, will be working most of the time anyway!

Stockton is a great place to get carjacked or be the victim of a home invasion...really any violent crime you want to be involved in can be found here. :-b

They don't call it the home of the drive by for nothing.

Stockton has gotten a lot better but I think it's still near the top every year for the highest crime rate per capita. In '06 I know Stockton's murder rank was #30...Detroit Michigan was #1. Here's the Wiki page.

They've cleaned up downtown a lot, put in a new movie theater a new waterfront ballpark and indoor arena. The city is really trying but it's still pretty bad in some areas. :-?

Wow, had no idea. Tracy is a sleepy hollow compared to that...just not a lot to do. Job takes me out to the Defense Depot and its pretty much in the middle of farm country. Didn't realize that San Joaquin valley itself was one of the major produce growing areas in the country

Yeah The San Joaquin Valley produces something like a quarter of the produce in the U.S. and most all of the asparagus consumed in the states is grown right here in Stockton. ;-D
