After seeing Adrian Peterson have a monster year behind the best offensive line in football, I'm convinced that for this year I need to have a better understanding of the teams that have good offensive lines. This could greatly affect my draft strategy because I want to draft running backs that are in the best situation possible. Last year I drafted Frank Gore and the combination of no passing game and a mediocre offensive line killed his numbers in the long run.
I'm not sure if this has been discussed before but I think it would be nice to have a thread that ranks some of the best and worst offensive lines in football that takes free agent signings and acquisitions into account. For example, which teams have greatly improved their offensive lines from last year?????
Which running backs are in good situations based SOLELY on offensive line and passing game? I'm not so much worried about the talent of the back but am more interested in ranking the offensive lines for next season. I'd love to hear any insight from fans of any team regarding offensive lines.
Top 10: 1 - New England 2 - Green Bay 3 - Dallas 4 - New Orleans 5 - Cleveland 6 - Indianapolis 7 - Jacksonville 8 - Philadelphia 9 - Minnesota 10 - San Diego

I laughed hysterically at this in the Vikings blurb... It's not THAT funny... but man, I wonder if John Madden helped write this article:
With better play at the quarterback position, they might be able to put up better numbers in the passing game.

That's awesome.
I can't disagree with the Vikings at 9th. I hear a lot of people dub them the best O-Line in the league but that is vastly overrating them IMO. Good against the run but they have weaknesses as pass protectors.
Awesome, thats exactly what I was looking for. But one question.... why is Minnesota only ranked 9th I thought they had the best O-line in the league last year?? Or am I missing something? Also how were those rankings compiled?

Best o-line for running, I can get behind. McKinnie can't pass protect to save his life. Our right side isn't supurb either. Like my fellow Vikes fan said, "Good against the run but they have weaknesses as pass protectors."

I think the Bucs O-Line will be top 10 this season
Faine is a huge boost to the Center position, Joeseph and Trueblood enter their 3rd season, and Sears is only going to get better in his second season. They will open holes, it will be up to Gruden to call run plays.
