Ranking the Top 20 WR's.

The thing that has really soured me on Chad is the last 2 years he's scored most of his TDs in 2 or 3 games. That's a killer for 3/4 of the year. Housh has been more consistent 2 years running now. I personally believe his production only dipped last year because Henry came in and took looks away.

I just want to add that maybe guys should post what type of leagues they are in to explain some of the predictions. I always have great success with consistancy. If Wayne can score me 17 every week I will take that over 22 one week and 13 the next for "some "other guy". 17 wins games every week in my h2h PPR league. 22 one week wins and 13 the next loses, even though it is a total of 34 for Wayne and 35 for the "other guy." Over the course of the season the "other guy" might have better numbers, but in my situation I win more with Wayne. Overall totals don't always equal better fantasy player for my FF team. Consistancy does count for a lot for me.

I think it also depends on what an owner wants out of his receivers, but preferably I love this high scoring potential guys, I was one of the few who loved to have Lee Evans a few years ago, and I'll take Chad for the same things because I don't rely on those guys...If you have CJ as your WR1, followed by Cotchery and Anthony Gonzalez, I don't think it really matters if Chad only scores 9 pts that week because you should be getting some solid consistent numbers from your other two guys, and if the rest of your team is the same way you shouldn't lose games because Chad gets 80 yds(a bad week for instance), but the days he goes for 180 and 3 certainly do win games other weeks...Maybe some guys offer 13 consistently, but I know I'd be perfectly fine with 8 pts for a few weeks followed by 30 and 25 pt weeks.


When you have a guy go off those weeks your pretty hard to beat, and I know I draft my teams so that just an average or solid game doesn't kill me.

ive had michael irvin in my dynasty league for 7 years now... he hasnt registered a stat for 6 of those years but im sitll hoping for the best

Im in a PPR league and for me personally IF i even go for a #1 Receiver (i usually dont) i go for flash. High risk high reward. because with the next 2 WRs i pick i look for solid #2 possesion receivers who rack up 5-7 catches and get 50-60 yds with a TD hear and there and im gettin a solid 10-15 pts a week with potential for more. But i want my #1 to be able to pull down 30+pts in a week if hes hot. not 20 every week. and thats what Wayne does in my league. Hes a solid 20pt man. Awesome. but not for me

Can't speak for last year. Don't know where i would find ADp for that but this year his ADP is 11th for WR's. Pretty much where I think he should go. I can;t see PLax going before ANY of these guys...

I have these two players graded similarly. Burress has a bigger edge in the TD department and Wayne has a bigger edge in the yardage department. I actually have Plaxico with a higher upside, but Wayne has the whole Harrison injury thing boosting up his value right now.

And look at the two draft positions. What RBs or hell even QBs (if that is your thing) are available at 2.02 versys 3.06. It's a world of difference who you can pickup at those two spots. Reggie Wayne is not even close to worth that kind of pick. Hell, TO is barely worth that kind of pick and that is guy with a history of averaging basically a TD in every game!

Plaxico is under valued because he has been known to slow up some with nagging injuries, the man plays and guts it through, but he usually have a few that come up over the course of the season...If he gives you 16 healthy games he probably finishes no worse then top 3 in TD's and he would easily be a top 5 WR...If your not playing in a PPR, and just a standard league, his value should be even higher, especially with shockey gone, Plax is guaranteed at least 1 red zone look down inside the 5, sometimes more then that, but at 6'5 he wins most of those battles...I loved having him on my team last year, and the games I watched Eli was consistently trying to get him the ball and knows where to put it where only he can grab it, he looked like one of the best WR's in the game quite a few times last year and this was banged up, the fact that you can get him in the 4th or early 5th in some drafts is great value.
