LaDainian Tomlinson was in Times Square Thursday campaigning to be the No. 1 pick in fantasy football drafts across America.
He shook hands, gave out bumper stickers, and appeared on talk shows. "I should be the No. 1 pick because I'm proven," he said. "I have experience helping owners win their leagues. I got a good track record, and I'll be ready on day one." And the kicker: "I'm all about scoring touchdowns." One must appreciate that LT2 cares this much. We couldn't recommend anyone else.

Maybe their is a performance clause in his contract that pays him more money if he is the consensus #1 FFL pick. If I were a GM I would have FFL-related clauses in players contract for sure.

I heard FoxSports Fantasy product is behind this. Apparently, this is going to morph into some type of LT2 commercial for FoxSports Fantasy Football - should help them compete with CBS and ESPN, I imagine.

I don't have anything to back that story up - just a rumor I heard.

It sounds like an ad campaign. A cool one. Love it when these guys come out talking FFB.

Is there any truth to the story out of Green Bay that Ted Thompson said he would draft LT, but only as a back-up. :-b
