Texas State Board of Education approves Bible course for high schools

AUSTIN – Elective Bible courses in Texas high schools received the blessing of the State Board of Education on Friday, but local school officials will have to figure out how to design those classes so they don't violate religious-freedom protections.

God Bless Texas!

Not a 'Boys fan, not a Texans fan, not a Longhorns fan, but you gotta love one of the only states in the union that is at least trying to swim upstream and fight the tide that has been sweeping the country for years.

Now the only question is how long before some fascist liberal judge agrees to hear a lawsuit from some headline seeking parent who claims their kid was harmed by actually hearing the word "Jesus" in a public classroom.

It's high time. Every other religion can be freely talked about in public schools except... well... christianity of course. Finally some of these double standards might be done away with.

Yeah. I agree with Moon...

In my opinion education should be separated from religion. If you really want them together join a private school.

Is this an elective class or a class that everyone is required to take?
