Have you gone to see a game?

I've had it on my "to do" list for a while now. Just never got around to it. They don't advertise though, so I tend to forget about them too. The indoor soccer league is heavily advertised though. They ran a promotion with the big Chicago alternative rock radio station, where $15 got you tickets for a game and a concert afterwards. Had some decent name bands in it too, but I was in NY last year when they did that.

It's an interesting experience. If you ever have the chance, it's worth watching one.

Our minor league hockey team, the Indianapolis Ice, does something similar. I was at a game a few years back and I kid you not, Vanilla Ice was the after-game concert. Talk about a career high, playing after a minor league hockey team in a venue that is normally full of dirt as it's used for showing horses and livestock at the state fair.

Hockey's great. I played in high school and college. I don't get to the rink much any more, and the strike kinda killed my desire to watch it on tv.
