After LT and Peterson as the consensus 1/2, the next 3 guys coming up on all the lists are these 3. So how does everyone rank them?
Jackson- Probably the most talent of the 3, but questions surround the Rams offense, from QB to the line, to the Rams stinking and not running late in games.
Addai- Seems like the safe pick of the 3, but really doesn't seem to have a ton of upside with Manning tossing the ball more often than not and generally to the endzone.
Westbrook- Easily had the best season of the 3 last year, but asking him to repeat that at his age seems like a bit of a stretch. For an injury plagued player in a struggling offense he does well for himself, but is he a safe enough play for no. 3 overall?
Thoughts/ranks are appreciated. I actually don't have the 3/4/5 pick in my league but I was discussing this with someone and was wondering everyones take on these 3.....
I have the 3rd pick in my PPR league, and westy is a no-brainer for me.
Then I'd go Addai (as long as Manning's healthy) Then SJax.
14 Team w/FLX .5PPR The Porkchop Express QB: Carson Palmer, Vince Young RB: Maurice Jones-Drew, Matt Forte, Reggie Bush, Tim Hightower WR: Greg Jennings, Anquan Boldin, Terrell Owens, Jabar Gaffney TE: John Carlson, Ben Watson PK: R Gould TD: NO, TB
The problem with SJax is that if Bulger goes down, which is not unlikely, Jackson's value plummets because his O-Line is shaky and if opponents are able to focus on the run, his numbers are going to drop. Say Bulger stays healthy - OK, now you've got Holt to shut down, then the run. I'm not going to worry about
Addai's problem, like rjforlife said, is that Indy is a pass-first offense. Addai is going to get you steady numbers, but it's unlikely he'll be featured in Indy's offense enough to make him overtake Westy.
That leaves Westbrook, who is the focus of the Eagles' offense more often than not, and who has McNabb (hopefully healthy) who is threat enough to make opponents play them straight up. That's always going to be a win for Westy, hence his status at #3.

So I'd rank them:
#3 - Westbrook #4a - Addai #4b - SJax
McNabb had missed more games the past three seasons then Bulger, so I don't see how the former can be called an asset to Westy while the latter's a liability to Jackson.
"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." -- Voltaire
even when mcnabb has missed, westbrook has been a stud -- the same can't really be said for SJax. Westnrook has shown what he can do in either scenario, so having a healthy McNabb is an asset, but Westbrook has stud value anyway...
The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Brian Dawkins played in second grade.
