WHAT'S NEW
Would you believe it if I told you a Peyton Manning-led Indianapolis Colts team has never led the NFL in total yardage in a single season?
Well, folks, it's true. Every year, a different offense, whether it's "Brady-to-Moss Records, Inc." or "The Greatest Show on Turf," pushes to the front. The Colts, however, have persevered through 10 straight years of high-yield fantasy production in both total yards and points with Manning under center.
Check out below just how prolific the run has been.
Year YPG Rank Points Rank
1998: 319.8 12 310 19
1999: 357.9 4 423 3
2000: 383.8 3 429 4
2001: 372.2 2 413 2
2002: 351.0 9 349 17
2003: 367.1 3 447 2
2004: 404.7 2 522 1
2005: 362.4 3 439 2
2006: 365.0 3 427 3
2007: 358.7 5 450 3
Stat that matters: The Colts have ranked in the top five in total offense and points in each of the past five seasons. That run has spearheaded countless fantasy titles for owners of Colts' players.
Despite the questions about two very important left knees -- one belonging to Peyton Manning and the other to Marvin Harrison -- and a tough schedule, Indianapolis will hit those high marks again. Draft accordingly.
