I can give my reasoning. I never did more than 3 leagues in a season since 1992. Last year I really became friends with a lot of people here ended up in 8 and it was not fun. Before last season, I had never been under .500 on a season. Not one losing season in 16 years of fantasy football because I could focus my year round 24/7 love of fantasy football on 1 to 3 leagues. Last year I had a losing season in several leagues because I was spread thin. Not only that, but I would have several players in one league, but in another be playing against those players. Hard to root for a player that way. That many leagues also puts a strain on having a life outside of fantasy football... at least on my end.
I have already quit all but 2 of my leagues for 2009. All except for TWSS and TFL... to be honest... I don't even know if I'll continue TWSS for that many more years despite the post a page or two back. I rushed that league out to quickly. Didn't iron out everything. It's caused many road bumps and there are many settings in that league that I absolutely hate.
I think many people find the cafe, it makes you get really involved in fantasy football... you end up overextending yourself and losing the passion for it.
I didn't lose the passion, I just want to focus it on a couple leagues instead of 8-10... I'm now in 10 this year, but they all know I'm a 1 year deal.
