I'm not that high on either back this year. Sure Lynch is a better back, and White is a better value, but I think that they both could put up lesser numbers this year. In Tenn coach Fisher gets the most out of that team every year, but he has never been tied to any one back. Drafting a RB in the first round is a clear signal that he isn't enamored with White (and what I'm guessing may be his less than stellar practice/workout habits). Lynch is also on a team that over achieved last season but has a coach who has proven he cannot sustain succes in the past. The Bills could flop and with very little supporting cast D's could put too much emphasis on Lynch.
Hey, I am a notorious worrier and over-analizer. They will prolly both rock.
I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?

I don't think I would even take LenDale white in the 5th round. Lynch will be getting used more as a passing option as well so I think his totals increase from last year.
He was also looked pretty impressive when I saw him play. I think he is going to have a great career.
I see similar stats for LenDale as last year with little chance for significantly better. He's also in a large group of RB's I really only have a couple preferences from and he isn't one of them.

I disagree. White and Johnson are complete different backs, no one said Dallas drafting Felix Jones was an obvious sign Jerry Jones and crew don't like MB3. Same situation in my eyes.
I think after last season and LenDale playing as well as he did, injured, I think the team has more faith in him than most people seem to have. While LenDale is being undervalued, his ceiling is there, but I consider him a safe back...similar to a Rudi Johnson. (before last season)

That's the thing. This is the new NFL. The days of having a workhorse RB who totes the rock 350 times are pretty much over. It's a copy cat league, and coaches are starting to see the benefits of having two capable RB's. They keep each other fresh and off the injury report, and give defenses something else to worry about. SO I wouldn't read too much into Fisher spending a 1st round pick on Johnson. I think he just wanted some lightning to go with Lendale's thunder. Plus Fisher probably knows that the passing game is a joke and he's going to run the ball as much as possible. To do that, he needs 2 RB's because one won't be able to shoulder that entire load.

Agree Completely
Lendale is great value where he is going, and his overweight, work ethic issues are overblown, people need to realize that he had averaged a higher YPC last year then Reggie Bush, and he is a great goal line back...Definately agree he is a safe back much like Rudi Johnson before, I would feel safe with him getting me a consistent amount of points all season from my RB2 position.

Yeah, you loved him so much you let me get White as my backup RB in the 1st round QB challenge
Thanks to deluxe_247 for sig, he is welcome to sail with the Captain too! I will win all of the fantasy cafe games.....next year
Another thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is that Lynch's numbers not only came in fewer games, but (as well as this can be evaluated at least) against one of the toughest run schedules in the entire NFL last year.
This year, while it is admittedly very difficult to predict this stuff ahead of time, he looks to be playing against the complete opposite and one of the easiest run schedules in the NFL.
I love White's value this year, and will definitely be targetting him as my RB3 in my upcoming draft! He put up almost 1,200/7 last season while running on a bad wheel.
I'd love his value as an RB3 this year. I'd even consider taking him as my RB2 if I drafted a RB, WR and QB with my first three picks. Start with, say, Gore, Manning and Colston in a 10 team league, and I'd be happy to grab White as my RB2!
