Any thoughts from the preseason games so far......

Things I learned from the Seahawks vs. Bears game last night...

1) Charlie Frye is not a QB
2) Seahawks 1st team D is very underrated
3) T. Duckett's only football move is straight
4) Rex has picked up exactly where he left off last year
5) Forte looked better than his numbers suggest
6) I am NOT worried about Bobby going down...the young recievers looked great
7) J. Jones actually looked okay
8) J. Forsett is an absolute stud in the making....should be the starting RB in my opinion.
9) Devin Hester cannot take a hit
10) Seahawks special teams better not look like that during the regular season

I agree that Forsett looked VERY good. Great at kick returning too.

Brandon Lloyd looks like the best receiver on the bears.

Dude's simply a man among boys out there. He cannot be covered. Its tough to explain it, but he makes it look so easy too: he always has at least 2-3 steps on the DB and makes the catch look like the ball was lobbed from 10 feet away - like it was completely effortless.

Im not a guy who makes really bold predictions, but if CJohnson isnt a top 3 fantasy WR this season I'll be shocked.

Seriously though, when he moves its like he's gliding and not even running fast, there isn' t a DB in the game who can cover him man to man, Leon Hall looked like a pee wee football player on him...He had all the tools so its nice to see somebody develop right in front of you, I agree on being a steal though, in one 12 team league I drafted him as my WR3 in the 5th I think behind Braylon and Colston, he really has a great chance to put up 12 TD's if he stays healthy, and were probably looking at taking him in the 2nd round as soon as next year...Top 3 is certainly realistic, if he's healthy he might approach somewhere around 15 TD's.

Ricky is back - Its early to proclaim that, but you could see he had that extra pep in his step out there, if his conditioning is up to speed look out if he gets 20 carries to start the season, the way he was running last nite 1000 yds is certainly a possibility maybe more if Brown gets hurt, Parcells wants to run quite a bit this year and really likes Ricky.

From what I've seen, you may be right. I like Ricky a lot, always have, even when he's flaky, and even though he's let me down time after time. I just can't hate the guy. If Ronnie's able to come back for 25 carries a game, toss in an effective Ricky for 15 - 20, figure five or six balls out of the backfield each, Miami could chew up a whole lot of ground. Not a bad idea with the author of "Three Yards and a Cloud of Dust is a Successful Pass Play" at QB, or even a rookie . . . or two.

I like the prospects for a successful running game; I just hope the defense doesn't give up so many points that the running game becomes irrelevant. As a Phins fan, I don't think it'll be the torture it was last year, but realistically, if they hit 6 wins, I'll be pleasantly surprised. Not stunned, just pleasantly surprised.

Watchin' the 'boys/Texans game this evening, I can tell ya one thing (that I already knew) for sure...Marion Barber is a beast!

And, I would have NO trouble drafting him as my #1 RB in the mid to late part of the first round (if that's where I am slotted). And, I'd take him over Portis, Gore AND Lynch.

The Steelers first team D looks bad and thats a worry (we will see what happens with Troy P. coming back tonight).

The Bills are going to surprise a lot of teams this year. Cleveland is going to not live up to the hype, they are going to be improved but will not contend in the North.

Felix Jones is a beast and he is going to be a good WW pickup if he slipped through the draft.

Oh yeah, I still hate the Patriots!
