i bet you had the 54g. not the 54gl. the gl is teh tits. it's by far the best consumer wireless router you can purchase under $75.

if you were using the stock firmware you might have had some issues or you just could have run into a bad batch.it happens sometimes. as far as the firmware linksys's isn't amazing nad i'd recommend if you did purchase a linksys to get either dd-wrt or tomato as they make the routers much more stable and give you lots of little things to play around with.

Yeah, that might be the one I go with. Can't go wrong with an 82% 5-star rating from over 1400 reviews.

Most problems with routers are related to the frequency. If you have a 2.4 ghz router ya better get rid of all your 2.4 ghz phones.

Why would you have any land line phone these days? So that should not be a problem.
