I love Bourbon. Small Batch, Canadian, top shelf stuff, Jack, Jim, swill that the TGI Fridays serves, all of it. It's all good. Some much better than others, but still good.
I can't stand Scotch. Not even the "good" stuff.
Every time I taste Scotch, I want to go find someone named MacDonald and punch them in the face.
I'd even drink Wild Turkey before I'd drink the 15 year old Glenfiddich.
Love me some scotch. I usually drink Chivas Regal. Nothing special, but it's good stuff. I had some the other day that something like 70 years old. It was amazing. Sorry, AD, awesome.
i like whisky, whiskey, wisky, etc. irish, scotch, bourbon, canadian. i haven't met one i didn't like. i prefer to end the night with a few glasses of scotch. i put 2 ice cubes in it. shoot me.

same here...not something i'll drink all the time, but once in awhile i'll either mix in some shots of Crown, or Crown and Ginger, or maybe a Seven and Seven, or some CC straight from the bottle
not as high on the scotch, but i'll still drink it, bought my buddy a bottle of something for X-mas (Chivaz maybe?) and helped him enjoy his present

yeah i just have a taste for whiskey. i can drink way too much of it way too fast. so i generally stick with vodka and take it slow. unless i'm on a mission from god. then i take the bottle of whiskey straight to the head.

That's me too. Used to drink waaaaay too much of it. Still love it and could easily drink too much, but I can control it a lot easier now and enjoy rather than let it take me.
I had some sort of whiskey for the first time when I was 12 in Las Vegas. That sounds pretty glamorous right there, but it wasn't as much. My aunt and uncle on my mom's side were having their wedding reception at my aunt and uncle's house on my dad's side in Vegas. I was popping the champagne corks all night long and was really wanting a taste. I slept in the living room which happened to be adjacent to the bar so when everyone was asleep I raided the liquor cabinets. Trouble was, the wine cooler was locked so I couldn't try the champagne which was what I really wanted. So I found what I realize now was probably very good, very expensive whiskey. So I made myself a shot like I'd seen in cowboy movies and downed it. Burned like hell and I thought it was gross. Then my chest got nice and warm and I drank 4 more. I was feeling pretty good that night and not so much the next morning. I think I weighed something like 80 pounds, if that.
