Bourbon or Scotch?

But, to keep with topic. Bourbon all the way.

Bourbon wins out over scotch for me...have never acquired the taste for it. Pretty much open game for anything else in the alcohol family though!

Haven't really tried Scotch but I like Bourbon Whiskey. My favs are Crown and Jamison but I like Jack and some others alot to.

scotch takes like crap. From what scotch drinkers say it is an aquired taste.

There is nothing like bourbon, providing that it is one of 2. Wild Turkey (only the 101 proof) for regular drinking. for special occasions there is a small batch bourbon that is fantastic but very expensive. That is Booker's.

nothing like Booker's that I have ever tasted but is too expensive for me to drink regularly.

Love me some scotch. I usually drink Chivas Regal. Nothing special, but it's good stuff. I had some the other day that something like 70 years old. It was amazing. Sorry, AD, awesome.

Just my luck. I visit here once in a while and there it is.

I actually like Chivas Regal, but otherwise, I'm not a big Scotch or Bourbon drinker. I prefer Bourbon by a little but I don't mind Scotch much as just a tiny spot of water does the trick in getting better roundedness (and less edge) out of the shot.

Maker's is good stuff.

I like Elijah Craig 18 year single barrel myself.

I also like the JW scotch. I'd like to try blue label some day. Crown Royal is actually pretty smooth.

I'm going to have to try me some Macallan now that every one is talking about it.

So I guess you could say I like both. BUT...have to pair it up with a nice Montecristo cigar.

Sometimes I'll shoot Jack, but I prefer Makers...super smooth...great for mixing or sipping.

I really haven't had a wide enough variety of scotch to put in a qualified opinion...I'll have to remedy that.
