Every year there seems to be some WRs who emerge from obscurity to put up huge numbers (ie, Welker, Roddy White last year, Stokley in that year with the Colts) for where they can be picked. Who are good candidates for that this year?

That's what I'm saying. even if Meachem plays lights out, he still has 3 very good pass catchers to steal catches from him. Plus he's still got to beat out Devery Henderson just to get the starting job and just to be FOURTH in pecking order.
I think with Meachem its more he's finally become fantasy relevant, but with the weapons around, and Patten still in the picture, and how Brees has notoriously spread the ball around in the offense, I'm not expecting miracles...He will have some big games, but I don't think he's ready to start every week, he's probably a guy I would draft late when he has good value, and trade him after a huge game(he seems like a perfect 'sell high' candidate already).
Of course the consensus is CJ2 but thats not going out on a limb, but he sure does look ready...I think Tedd Ginn could possibly take that step, I wouldn't bet he does, but it wouldn't surprise me at all with Pennington there...Josh Morgan looks like he could have one as a rookie, Martz utilizes more then two WR's and he is gaining chemistry with O'Sullivan, I have him on my radars in redrafts late.

Funny how you mentioned San Francisco and completely looked past Bryant Johnson. In a Mike Martz offense,I think he easily eclipses 70rec 850yds 6tds.Those are conservative numbers and he can easily be grabbed after round 6-7.
Not a new name, but Jerry Porter figures to have a big year down in Jax as does Antonio Bryant in Tampa and possibly Ron Curry in Oakland.
For new names I'd consider all the rookies drafted pretty equal with the current leader being Robert Royal in Denver.
