Who is the Bears #1 WR?

Postby WeekSixteen » Sun Aug 24, 2008 3:10 pm

Looking for some insight into who is the Bears #1. I've seen hester go the highest in drafts but don't think he will be better than last year.

I think their #1 will be Booker (who I read something about yesterday said he's worried about being cut) or Earl Bennett, the rookie they drafted this year.

They don't have a #1, they have two #3's.

All kidding aside. Marty Booker and Rasheid Davis are supposed to be the starters but Hester could replace Davis as starter.

Uh, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Though Hester can be a nice sleeper. If he gets 800 receiving yards or so, 3-4 reception TDs and 5-6 return TDs (if your league rewards individual players for Kick return/punt return TDs of course.), he's not a bad WR3. Since he can run a fly or go pattern pretty effectively, he may get a decent amount of long bomb TDs. Of course, it is Orton throwing them, so who knows.

Dream on. If he gets over 600 it'd be a minor miracle.

Rashied Davis looked like he had some good chemistry going with Orton in their last pre-season game

;-D

Davis would be my guess right now. Hester could factor into being the big play-maker on the offense though.
