Down to Cat 2 with winds sustaining 110 mph. Still going to be a nasty storm but Cat 2 is much better than Cat 4. Katrina hit as a strong Cat 3 but there is only a 15 mph difference in the winds. Katrina's surge was 25 feet but this one is expected to be 1/3rd that.

Looks like Ike has become a cat 4 and could come into the gulf. Path is still uncertain.

I read that 80% of the homes were destroyed in the Carribean I believe.
