Sorry for this lengthy post, but it IS for the championship.
OK, Razor Dynasty #3 vs. GlassJoe, 1 ppr. Here is my team, and starters in bold. Couple of positions are easy, couple are not. ONE PPR. FOR ALL THE MARBLES. I think I've got it.
QBS PICK ONE: Easy Brees, Drew NOS QB at Lions Ryan, Matt ATL QB at Vikings Henne, Chad MIA QBat Chiefs
RBS: PICK THREE: Could do TWO and FOUR wrs, but I think not. Jacobs if healthy? Will they limit him? Will he still get the goalline love? Or just start Chester? He outscored ADP for me this week. ATL run def is 22nd. Peterson, Adrian MIN RB vs Falcons Slaton, Steve HOU RB at Raiders Taylor, Chester MIN RB vs Falcons Jacobs, Brandon NYG RB vs Panthers McGahee, Willis BAL RB at Cowboys Rice, Ray BAL RB at Cowboys
WRS: PICK THREE: Don't think I have four. Coles got hot, Branch getting there, Walter got nada. Man oh man do my wrs suck. Point total for the year for the contenders, if that'll help.
Walter, Kevin HOU WR at Raiders 191 (decent def, Schaub has to pass it around this week, right?) Coles, Laveranues NYJ WR at Seahawks 168 (terrible pass def, 32nd) Gage, Justin TEN WR vs Steelers 113 (toughest pass def) Williams, Reggie JAC WR vs Colts 86 Branch, Deion SEA WR vs Jets - getting hot? (29th pass def) Battle, Arnaz SFO WR at Rams Morgan, Josh SFO WR at Rams Stallworth, Donte' CLE WR vs Bengals
TEs: PICK ONE: Has to be Clark, right? Clark, Dallas IND TE at Jaguar Carlson, John SEA TE vs Jets Scaife, Bo TEN TE vs Steelers
K: Should I even check ww? Got me 8.1 this week and is the #5 overall. Carney, John NYG PK vs Panthers
DEF: Chicago or Indy? Colts didn't do much this week. Bears must win. Bears, Chicago CHI Def vs Packers Colts, Indianapolis IND Def at Jaguars Giants, New York NYG Def vs Panthers
Hey Kilroy, Look at these matchups for my RBs/ WRs... Who do I play??
12 team Non PPR Championship Matchup Pick Two: Adrian Peterson vs ATL (made a trade for him earlier in the year) Brian Westbrook vs WAS Thomas Jones vs SEA Steve Slaton vs OAK Pierre Thomas vs DET
Pick 3: Larry Fitzgerald vs NE Antonio Bryant vs SD Eddie Royal vs BUF Lance Moore vs DET Braylon Edwards vs CIN
I'm dumbfounded on who to play. I was actually thinking about benching Westbrook, but who do I play in his spot??
Hey Kilroy, thanks for your help in the past. It's been a while, but this one is for the championship! My starters as of now in my 10 teamer: QB: Warner WR: Fitz, Marshall, Lance Moore RB: DeAngelo, Pierre Flex: Lynch TE: Carlson D/ST: Bears K: Hartley (NO)
I have some options on the bench which are really killing me. At RB, I have Gore, Lendale, and Kevin Smith. At WR, I have Cotchery and Breaston. I fought all year to get the RB depth I wanted, but now I don't want to pick the wrong one. I really want to play Gore, but he hasn't really been very good in about 3 or 4 weeks and he's hurting. Kevin Smith has been pretty good lately, but he's playing the Saints, who seem to be making a conscious effort to shut down RBs and let WRs go wild on them. Moore hasn't been a big part of the Saints offense in a few weeks either, and I'm thinking Cotchery might be better.
Sorry for the novel here. Am I overanalyzing things? I'll probably roll with the roster I have above, barring significant news, but I'd love your opinion.
1. I have a good problem in the championship game this week. I have 5 RBs and only two spots to put them in, who do I start? 15yrds/point, 6 points/TD, 10 REC yrds/point, no PPR.
Please choose 2:
Thomas Jones @SEA Pierre Thomes @DET (will start this week because of Bush's injury) LT @TB Forte VS GB Slaton @ OAK
2. Which QB do I start?
Romo VS BAL (tough D plus questionable back) Orton VS GB (has been struggling lately) *pick up* S Hill @ STL *pick up* Travaris Jackson vs ATL?
I may have one decision to make this week, wanted your input. If Gore plays I have no question what to do, but if Gore is out, my question is about Deshaun. Deshaun put up over 100 total yards last week at Miami, who is very good agaisnt the run. This week he faces the Rams, the second worst rush D in the league. If Deshaun plays, Portis or Lynch needs to head to the pine. Portis has been worthless for a month and the Redskins' offense is offensive. They face Philly, who is playing great ball right now. The upside is Portis is back practicing and fairly healthy, and he did torch Philly early in the year.
Lynch is the other RB starting for me. Similar situation with the Bills' offense being one of the worst in football. Lynch has been playing great over hte last five weeks, with four 100+ yard games, but the TDs are few and far between. He faces Denver, who is schitzophrenic, one week they look like a Super Bowl contender, the next they look like the worst team on the league.
My other option is to bench a WR, but I'm finding that hard to do. AJ is coming off a 200 yard receving game and face the Raiders that got torched last week by Cassell and Co. Fitzgerald is a top 5 WR and I'm having a hard time benching him despite the weather in N.E. not expected to be good. Marshall is more name than substance so far, but he has as much potential as any WR to have a 140 yard, 2 TD game.
