Take advantage of your league scoring.

So I got screwed by a garbage connection to Yahoo, and I had some accidental auto picks.

I'm thinking that I'm going to have a bad year, but I noticed a trend in this league...

No one noticed that return yards and tds are scored (15/pt and 6/td)

So my bench is filled with Ted Ginn Jr., Steve Breaston, Devin Hester, Leon Washington, Josh Cribbs etc. Only a handful of punt/kickoff specialists were taken... just guys like Smith, Burleson, etc.

This isn't a league of newbies... but still, people weren't paying attention to settings (and no, I'm not the commish) so... there's value to be had.

Just a heads up to anyone drafting from cheat sheets... most don't include return yardage in picks. So a lot of value wasn't even on owners' radar.

Pay attention to your scoring.

Well, let me do a conservative rough estimate for you on Ted Ginn that ive done since my leagues sorta like yours, ill put the scoring in your leagues settings.

Randy Moss-208 proj. points
Ted ginn(with KR points)-225 points(or so)

Happy?

We start 3 WR and have a flex WR/TE and a flex WR/RB. Looking at the league scoring, it scores out as though I would start 2 legit RBs, Welker and Cotchery, and 3 of these return guys. With our scoring, they each come out around a low WR1/high WR2. It should be free money.

A league where Ted Ginn is more valuable than Randy Moss is pretty screwy, but grats I guess.

haha, u lucky as hell. I don't mess with kick return yardage leagues (for players, not defenses), cuz they make (like the guy said above) the real fantasy WRs look like garbage.

i have to agree here. However, if I found myself in a league that did award KR yards, you bet I would take advantage of it if it was there.

Well, I don't think it balances out THAT extreme in this case, but I think having 7 WR1s gives me the kind of edge that will probably make it an easy season, and to be perfectly honest, I don't like the fact that it scores KR. But I got screwed on the draft, so I don't feel bad. If I run the table on this season, you can bet that they won't do KR next year.

Or everybody will get clue and draft accordingly. :-b

If you read, he already did the draft and the computer got a lot of guys for him. Oh, and KR leagues are weird. Im not big on them, but it is a way to get a sweet advantage. But last year, about 5-6 games in people started catching on and it hurt me bad. One time it was battle of the Kick Returners. All of our players were pretty much equal, but for 3 players. He had Leon Washington and Burleson, while I had MJD. First Leon scored and I was down, But MJD came back and got a 100 yard KR TD, but the final Blow was when Burleson got a PR TD and that was it, weird week of Fantasy Football.
