Westbrook's handcuff??

Postby beezer » Mon Sep 01, 2008 4:42 pm

I drafted Westy in the first round of my PPR league. I haven't quite found any concrete info as to who his primary backup is. I have room for his handcuff but who will it be, Buckhalter or Lorenzo Booker? Thanks. WHIR

I think I read somewhere that they said if Westy goes down (or needing handcuff) look to Booker.

I've read on numerous sites that Buckhalter is the handcuff to have.

As you can see, no one truly knows.

The only thing I know is if Westy gets screwed up the Eagles will be in big trouble. As well as all his fantasy owners...

I watched a little of the Jets/Eagles game and Booker looked pretty good. He's more of a Warrick Dunn type running back being only 5'10'' and 190. He looks excellent in the open field on dump passes. The announcers were saying he would be used as a change of pace. I'm getting the impression that Buckhalter and Booker would pretty much be an even split if Westy were to go down. Buck seems like the logical choice for goal line carries. Although, my league is a PPR league so Booker may be more valuable. I will continue to dig for more info.

booker is a very similar player to westbrook, in their running styles. if westbrook were the go down, i honestly think it would be a 50/50 situation, with buckhalter getting the short yardage and goalline type carries and booker getting the others. booker isnt a 15-20 carry type of back though, so he'd need to be refreshed in my opinion.

I think if Westy goes down Buck will get the majority of the carries, but Booker could hold alot of value as well. I think there looking to get Booker a certain amount of touches each game...both carries, and catches. I would expect Buck in the backfield, and Booker lined up out wide on occasion.
