Wow. One of the most famous people we never knew. He will be missed, that's for sure.

I don't know what's more shocking, Don's passing or Menyak posting to General Talk?!?!?

I cannot recall a person who's voice was a better fit for movie trailers in Don LaFontaine. If I recall, he recently was featured in a Geico commerical, finally getting some well-deserved screen time. He'll be greatly missed.

Here's the commercial I'm referring to:

Furthermore, Pablo Francisco did a spot-on impression of LaFontaine which you can see here:

Wow that's surprising. I guess he was hurting bad the past week and a half.

I'll sure miss his voice in movie trailers. Yeah I loved that Geico commercial.

Rest in piece.

I saw his name up there when he was posting it and thought that was rare to see the chef foraging around these parts. I about fell off my chair when I saw the thread.

But let's not act like anything weird is going on. If we act normal, maybe Menyak will start using the forums he created. Wouldn't that be funny? :-D

Just watched a documentary type deal on Youtube about him about 3 weeks ago, then this news. Sad.
