It's week 1. None of these teams have "earned" a thing.

I can't seriously believe that East Carolina is a Top 30 team and as such Virginia Tech isn't either. VT will have to play really really well to bring themselves out of the cellar.

Rankings looked pretty solid; only a few really caught my attention. 2 people didn't have Utah ranked and 1 person didn't have Wake ranked. Both of those were a bit baffling along with Jay having Alabama at 25. Bama at 25, really?

Bama is extremely young. I could easily see them having a down week and losing to Tulane after the excitement they had last week. LA Monroe, anyone?

Yes, they beat the pants off of Clemson in the trenches, but from what I could see, the Tigers were obviously overrated. It's Week 1, we/the AP didn't really know where to rank teams. So, as such...I don't give Bama credit for beating a Top 10 team. If Clemson looks good in the coming weeks, I'll consider that in where I'm ranking Bama.
