Is this a decent team (it was drafted using the ESPN pre-rankings)? Is there anyone that should probably be dropped? I know nothing about fantasy football; just joined my work league for fun.
Brandon Marshall should be a starter for you after his 1 game suspension. I think your biggest weakness might be QB, but that's tough in a 14 team league. Vikings should be a very good D all year, but so are the Chargers. Maybe you can work one of them into a trade.
I would drop Alex Smith and see if Warner is available (probably not in a 14 team league). If Warner isn't available I would definitely drop Alex Smith. Smith isn't even the Starter anymore, it's J.T. O'Sullivan. Pick up O'Sullivan, and see if Pennington is available. Between Pennington and O'Sullivan, I would go with Pennington. If Pennington isn't available, go with Rodgers as your starter and O'Sullivan as your backup.
Good info on your QB situation. You may want to try and trade one of your solid D/ST (probably SD) and a WR or one of the QB's you pick up to try and upgrade the QB position. You could put them on the trading block your league and see if anyone gives you offers. Then just check back here at the Cafe under the Trade/Draft forum for advice on the trade or even ask people to help you formulate a trade. Good luck.

You're not going to be able to trade a D/ST for a player IMO. Most savvy fantasy players will simply mine the wire for a better D/ST during the season.
Not knowing your scoring system, I'd still say you need to upgrade at QB. Rodgers isn't the next Farve, but he's a good #2 QB. So, you need a solid #1 QB. Trade Portis for a #1 QB. You should be able to get a McNabb or Roethlisburger type of QB for him. Then run with MJD and DMac as your two RB's. As mentioned, go with Driver over Bryant this weekend, then plug Marshall and Holmes in for the rest of the season. Then, look to add depth at RB all season. MINE THE WIRE! That is the name of the game.
You won't win or lose your season by how you drafted. It's just a platform for you to build from. The better you draft, the better your platform. You can definitely work with what you have. Just mine that wire.

So, I added Antonio Bryant, Randy McMichael, and J.T. O'Sullivan, then dropped Marcedes Lewis and Alex Smith. I also moved Donald Driver to my starting lineup. I also put some info up on the trading block about the QB situation.
Speaking of: with Brady out, is Cassel a good pick up? He's on the waiver wire- I'm 13/14, but as of Wednesday he could be mine. Should I try to make this move? If so, who would I drop?
