I would pick up Cassell now just to be safe, and then wait and see what the Pats do for their QB. They might start Chris Simms beng that he's showing up Monday for a workout but that of course doesn't mean Simms will get signed.

You have to wait and see what happens but have your son grab Cassell now and not wait.

Of course he took Brady. His back up is Garrard.
Should he pick up Cassel?

I'm sure there are better options on your waiver wire than Cassel. Even with the Moss factor. Defenses will focus on Moss and teams will blitz the sh*t out of the backup. Not good for Pat's fan...

Garrard isn't a terrible #2.

I hate Belichik but cannnot celebrate Brady's knee injury. Hate to see top players miss any significant time. I wonder which retread they will come up with to take the reigns? Good think they have such a weak schedule, should still put a playoff season together if they can get the run game to produce.

Looked kindof like a cheap shot, which is unfortunate. Huge loss for the patriots but they have been in worse conditions over the years. This may be the year that we remember just how great of a coach Belichick really is. He'll have this team biting and scratching for wins every week. They will still probably win 9 or 10 games and limp into the playoffs. And its time to see just how tough Maroney will be with added carries and pressure.

You let your son take a QB with the first pick in a 12 team league? I guess it's never too early to teach kids to learn from their mistakes! ;-)

There is a special level of football hell reserved for those who celebrate an injury.
"I can't say that. I'd have to say having Ryan Leaf quarterback us to a 1-15 record is probably the biggest challenge."

Rodney Harrison, on whether losing Tom Brady to injury was the greatest challenge he has faced in football.

You mean, the guys who commit a minor technical infringement and get the book thrown at them because of who they are and the commish wanting to look tough? Not sure, you'd have to ask the 'Oh my God, please tell me he didn't just compare the two' department.
