So , for arguments sake I must ask...

Does Matt Cassel 'become' Tom Brady?

The last time the Patriots star QB ( Drew Bledsoe ) went down and an unknown ( Tom Brady ) stepped in, he led New England to all of the success we all know.

So... does history repeat itself?

Well, the thing is, Cassel has much more to work with than Tom Brady did in some of his earlier seasons... so I'd say the absolute best case scenario is that Matt Cassel, with better talent around him, puts up numbers similar to Brady's two worst... 2001 and 2003. Say, a completion percentage in the low 60s, between 2500 and 3k yards, 20-odd touchdowns. Realistically, you're probably looking at the Pats running a lot more.
"I can't say that. I'd have to say having Ryan Leaf quarterback us to a 1-15 record is probably the biggest challenge."

Rodney Harrison, on whether losing Tom Brady to injury was the greatest challenge he has faced in football.

Isn't it more likely Sims comes in?

I would think so, first they have to sign him though. Even then I cannot see Simms getting in unless Cassel struggles or till mid season.

Besides, his MRI isn't scheduled until tomorrow.

Funny how speculation and rumors usually end up being true, though. Huh? Just kidding.

This is karma for all of those years cheating and stealing signs :)

Yeah, yeah....zip it. I'm being hazed. Special "thanks" to Simulacrum for the sig/av.

Doesn't it go against the rules of hazing to publicly admit that you're being hazed. I recommend doubling Joel's "sentence." ;-)

Count me in on the hard luck. Blew a wad of points to draft him too.

Now I'm stuck with Eli Can-Win-It-All-But-Is-A-Terrible-Fantasy-QB Manning for my QB.
