Hopefully Brown is still considering Oregon. :-D

RB David Oku has decomitted from UT and is now likely headed to Auburn to run in Gus Malzahan's wildcat offense

Anytime a top recruit is stolen from USC I feel a little warm inside, no matter where they go. :-B

SWEEEEEET! Oregon snagged 4 star receiver Tyrece Gaines. B-)

After reading that article I am not sure I would want him on my team personally. For you head coach to trash you like he seemed to do in the article that says something to me. I think this kid is going to be a major headache for whoever he goes to.

Nice grab on Gaines. ;-D Went to Oregon over OK

As an aside --

I cannot wait for Kiffen to bring UT in the Swamp this year.

First --- Kiffen comes in and makes the comments about beating UF next year

2nd --- He tries to steal Billy Gonzalez (UF WR Coach) away from Florida after The school stated he was not allowed to talk with Gonzalez

Now --- He makes this comment :
"Our great recruiters stole 2 commits from the reigning national champions that had been committed to them for a long time."

He should have talked to Mark Richt about what happens to people when they do things like this to Urban

Yeah I was pretty surprised to land Gaines, he looks to be a real "impact" player. He's nearly the size of Jaison Williams who just graduated...hopefully he can catch balls a lot better than him. :-b

As for Brown I hear ya on him being a headache....however Oregon has a way of taking the "headaches" and getting quality play out of them.

A few more guys I'm glad to see will be playing ball for Oregon.

Cornerback Cliff Harris From Edison High School in Fresno CA.(my high school has Edison on it's schedule every year.)

Another good sized wideout Diante Jackson from Cali as well.

And Linebacker Bryson Littlejohn, great size 6-foot 235. I'm really happy we landed him, also I'm stoked to see what the fans say every time this kid makes a play.....YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!!!! :-b

Nebraska recruited some ballers. Not sure if we ended up ranked or what. Combine the kids that we got in this class with the 50 or so redshirts from last season and we have a huge class of guys coming in, many of whom are ready to play (?) from the way it sounds. However, we won't need to play them because, aside from the secondary, we're not hurting too much.

Nebraska should be continuing our climb out of the cellar this year. I don't know if we'll have a better record in 2009 (9-4), but we'll be more competitive, I believe.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin apologized Thursday for remarks he made about Florida coach Urban Meyer, where he alleged the Gators coach violated recruiting rules in pursuing wide receiver prospect Nu'Keese Richardson.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3886703

and he opened his mouth again, and had to apologize to Florida. :-b :-b :-b Thats great that he is sorry, but it won't stop Urban from putting up 50 on them next year. Kiffin keeps this up he won't last long at UT. The people will be fine with him now, but when he doesn't win this will get old real quick.

Monte Kiffin has been known to be something of a decent defensive mind. I know the cupboard is kind of bare over there on Rocky Top, but I would stress some caution. Not much. Some. :-D

I love Monte. The guy is brilliant and I think the world of him. With that said, Monte's scheme is not one that is installed easily. You have to have certain athletes at certain positions and UT does not have them yet. Trust me, the game in September will not be close. B-)
