This is Matchup Meltdown. This is 2008.

As always with a flair of drama I kick off another thread for Matchup Meltdown discussion. All that's missing is orchestra music and a voice over...

9 picks right out of 16 for week 1, I'll take it. Last year Jay and I managed to get 15 of the 16 right though... Jay decided to use his bye in week 1 this year, an interesting strategy. Maybe not an entirely planned strategy

but a strategy nevertheless. Week 2 looks tough at first glance. Might take a while to decide on which games to go with.

One things for sure- I won't be dumb enough to pick against Brett Favre on Monday Night Football this year with my last remaining pick.

Week 2 was brutal to pick. The teams that would normally have been favored (NE, SD, IND, etc.) have some tough matchups and the people I expect to win are all on the road (my top 4 ladder picks are road wins). :-P
