Let the drama begin (Matchup Meltdown)

So I take it that if we picked Philadelphia that we are still alive and it functioned basically the same as a win, since after all, they didn't lose. Right?

It's in the rules thread (first post) that a tie is a loss in the Meltdown. The scoring isn't in on that game yet.

Man, I was all frustrated that I lost and just took this at face value, but when I read the rules, it said quite the opposite and now I'm stoked

If a game is postponed beyond the weekend, or if a game ends in a tie, your predicted winner will be considered correct.

Really, it makes more sense this way, since it isn't an "incorrect" pick of a winner (or at least I support it because it helped me )...

Menyak and I talked about it and decided for this season it would count as a win, even though the team didn't actually win. So Menyak updated the rules today (Tuesday) to reflect it. When I made that post above (Monday), it was accurate and correct at the time. Was going to shoot you and logan PM's tonight, so it seems I just have to shoot him one now.

Don't expect it to be so nice next year though, Meltdown is a mean game and not for wusses!

i wasn't so much annoyed at losing on a tie it was just that it was the eagles that did it to me. ah well i'm still alive with my one pick and in my other survivor pool as long as the giants win this weekend i have aligned the stars to play every team up against detroit for the remainder.
