First, don't use a stroke on the signature and you want it to be fairly light (as in Lux's) most of the time. Also, either a few different handwriing fonts mixed together or signing a fake signature on a piece of paper and scanning it are usually just as good as actually cutting a real one out.

I actually didn't stroke it I just erased around it, this is what it looks like the the lines and the Texans background gone.

no prob met. on the signatures, i did quite a few of these a couple years back and the method that worked best for me:

-search for the players signature on something where the background contrasts the color of the signature. helmets and cards works the best most of the time.

-cut the section with the signature on it out of the picture

- make a new document and paste the signature cutout. fill the layer below the one of the signature a color that is different than the signature.

- use the lasso tool (you may need to adjust the tolerance if the background is similiar color), cut out all areas around signature

- desaturate the signature layer and then adjust the light scale all the way left so its black. (or if you want it another color adjust the hue and saturation)

- done

did you just use the eraser tool and go around it met? the first times i tried it, i actually used a pen tool and cut all the way around it. took freakin forever . the sad thing was that it still looked like crap.

Yup thats exactly what I did.

I didn't even notice that extra white crap I missed until I removed the lines and Texans background to post that in here.

LOL thats why one of the steps in my process i listed was to change the layer underneath the signature layer to a different color so you can see if you miss anything .

in your case, doesnt matter...looked pretty clean how you used it anyways

alright, here's the deal (if you want to of course)...you two make sigs (of a packer player..pick one, I don't care), when you're finished will put them up for voting against a Favre sig I made awhile back, and whichever one of the three wins the voting, I'll wear. Unless you think that's an awful Idea and you really don't want to make me a sig.

edit: Met, I am most definitely not wearing the one you made for me and Treat's sig battle...or anything like it.
