I could offer Stephen Davis and Randy Moss for James Stewart and Brian Finneran to half the teams in my league and they would reject it. No one wants to make any deals in my league.

Yeah, I've been in leagues like that and they are definitely no fun. Even when an owner has a losing record, he seems to like his team too much to trade. Riciculous.

i hear you guys. it happen. I thinkt rades in football are ahrder than in the other leagues. I thinks tudying upcoming schedules and your predictive abilities of an upcoming run are very sueful in this scenario. sometimes offering a sell high buy low offer are better in football. of course I will be pilloried for saying this. BUT, in football sinceit is head to head, season averages are not as important in and of themselves. That is not to say that they aren't useful in terms of overall predictive power. You have to be very careful with this type of thing, BUT it can help you get players you think are gonna break out. I got pennington for the maimi d and bledsoe jsut before he came back. a lot laughed at me, until pennington got four td's. The buying low part can be useful because it definitely makes people take notice. Be careful and make sure you plan it before hand, but it can help.
of course, in some leagues even that won't help. but what are you gonna do. let the other team stink and try and collect as many wins against those teams as you can.
In my league making trades is virtually impossible. I pulled off the one and only trade this year and I think I would have had an easier time getting my girlfriend to give me a blumkin. In our league, 3 teams have to approve the trade. They should be voting on whether the trade is fair for both sides, not wheter they like it compared to their teams. My problem was, it made both of our teams better. This is why it was rejected 3 weeks in a row. Other teams didn't want to see us get better. It really pissed me off. What's the point of having trades, if not to improve each others teams by trading your strengths for your weaknesses.
