Haha, pretty funny, they just did a heisman highlight real for Bradford on ESPN with the volume for each clip coming from the announcers of that game and nearly every single one of them featured the announcers saying either "he's got a man wiiiiiiddddeeeeee open" or "Bradford with alllllllllll day to throw".

No idea why they chose those highlights, as he had plenty of great plays that didn't feature one of those two scenarios.

Well, you may have really been onto something here. I'm not sure how much truth there is to it, but on ESPN they were just talking about the thing that probably cost Tebow the vote was that many of the ballots in the Southwest region (Big 12 territory) left Tebow off the ballot entirely. It sounded like most had a top 4 of Bradford, McCoy, Harrell, and Crabtree.

Again, I don't know how much of that is true and how much is being blown out of proportion, but that's pretty crappy if true.

EDIT: Of the votes that StiffArmTrophy has been able to accumulate so far, there were 6 Southeast voters that didn't even have Bradford on their ballot, and 21 southwest voters that didn't have Tebow on their ballot.

Congrats to Bradford for winning it ;-D

Now I hope to see him play the same way in this Championship game as the prior Oklahoma Heisman QB did in his National Championship game. ;-) :-D

Anyone who didn't have McCoy, Tebow and Bradford as their top three had better have a rock-solid argument for why or forfeit their vote. That's ridiculous if true. I don't see how you can leave Tebow off your ballot with any shred of integrity.

If 21 is true then it very well influenced who won the trophy. 21 extra 2nd and 3rd place votes could have made a big difference. :-?

Saw this in the local paper:

154 voters left the Florida quarterback off their ballots.

Tebow finished 151 points behind the winner. That means had the 154 voters ranked him at least third, Tebow would have won by three points.

Like I said earlier, I think they were all worthy and Bradford was definetly deserving, but its a bit strange to not have Tebow on the ballot.

If somebody insisted on putting Harrel on the ballot, Tebow would definitely have been the guy I kicked off of it, over McCoy and Bradford.

Even so, I really don't see the Harrell over Tebow argument.
