I appreciate your inquiry with regards to the fumble recovery return TD by Seattle.
This play is recorded as an offensive fumble return TD as Seattle had possession of the football, fumbled, recovered the football and scored a TD. Therefore, the Seattle DEF is not credited with a TD on the play.
Here is the play-by-play description:
Frank Gore rushed up the middle for 5 yard loss. Frank Gore fumbled. Marcus Trufant recovered fumble and returned for 4 yards. Marcus Trufant fumbled. Craig Terrill recovered fumble and returned for 10 yards (Olindo Mare made PAT)
Therefore, Craig Terrill is credited with an offensive fumble return TD in leagues that use the stat category. Seattle DEF is not credited with a TD.

Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.
Awful reasoning. Defensive unit was on the field. Forced the fumble. Recovered it. Ran a bit and fumbled, recovered again then Scored. It's still the Defensive team on the field.
If P. Rivers fumbles, LT recovers runs a bit, fumbles and Gates picks it up and scores, you best believe that's offense and at no point does it turn defensive. Maybe it's a bad example, all you have to do is add in that Denver picked it up, ran with it for 5 yards and fumbled, with Gates picking it up after and scoring. They still aren't Defense.
Are interceptions going to be offensive now if they suddenly decided that the second they have the ball they're on offense?
Yah, awful reasoning...same thing goes if one player forces the fumble and another guy picks it up...why is that any different. It's still the DEF forcing the fumble and scoring. As soon as they pick it up, SEA is on offense, so by Yahoo logic there are no DEF TDs ever!! Stupid.
At least I didn't lose because of this and I feel bad for those who did.
even if your yahoo league says you lost by 3, any scoring changes will be retroactive and you will win the game when the changes are made (assuming they do. luckily i won anyway because of westbrook)
they better change it though because its an obvious mistake
I just received my response from Yahoo and it sounds like they'll fix it.

My guess is they had a lot of complaints about it and just set up a template response for people to one click respond with. At least it's a glimmer of hope to hear that they're "working on a fix"
