:-b :-b :-b

The way this week has gone for me... there was no other possible outcome for that play. One of my WR's broke one? Of course not... he voluntarily dropped the ball at the 1. Thanks DeSean! ;-D

Not doing that in the endzone would have made me win...now I'm 0-2...

Can someone explain why that would not be a fumble? Tirico was saying something about a 'backward pass, so it doesn't count as a fumble'. Huh?

It was a fumble, but since the ref had already blown the play dead (thinking it was a touchdown), possesion could not be changed by replay.

this is correct. If you watch the replay, Adam Jones turns around in the endzone and starts to head back toward the ball (as if to pick it up?). However, he looks over at the ref (off screen) who I assume is signaling TD, and than stops heading towards the ball, and starts walking toward the sideline.

The announcers were calling the cowboys idiots for not picking up the ball (after they realized it was not a TD), but I'm pretty sure that since the play was called dead, it wouldn't have mattered if Adam picked up the ball. Though I'm not 100% sure. Also, I can't believe the refs blew this call in the first place. I thought it was pretty obvious the ball never broke the plane.

Overall, the refs blew a bunch of calls (both ways). The cowboys got away w/ about 3 face masking calls. The eagles did get away w/ that pass interference call in the end zone - if anything that was offensive pass interference.

Yeah thats right. It's similar to what happened in the Broncos/Chargers game when Cutler clearly fumbled the ball and a Charger player picked it up, because the play was blown dead possession remained with the offense.

It is unfortunate for the DeSean owners, but turned out great for those of us who own Brian Westbrook ;-D

What was funny was when they showed the replay of his somersault(sp) into the endzone...only he wasn't quite in the endzone and lost control of the ball at the 1.

Some kids never learn :-b
