I have C-Pepp and am going against the team that has Moss. In our league, every TD thrown to Moss(which is just about all of them) would give moss 7 points and C-pep 4 points. Would you consider starting somebody else in this situation? I can start Kerry Collins vs. Atlanta instead. I know this is kind of a start/sit question, but in general I was wondering what your views are. If my QB has a good game, then his WR would have a better game. Would you hope that they have an off day and start your backup, or is it stupid to give up the potential points of your starting QB?
I am 6-3 and I could care less who my opposition is playing. I look at my roster and take the best people and start them. If C-Pepp is your best, then start him, if not, don't. If you can't decide at all who to start and they both have good matchups, then go see if you can maybe cancel out one of his players if you start one player. Like Daunte.
there is a chance that culpepper will throw to someone else, or that he will even run one in.
the way i see it, if i was the other guy, I would be disappointed to play the guy who has culpepper.
look at it this way, at least when moss does score, it is basically worth only three points (net total when you consider that you get four from culpepper)
Start your studs, in this case it works for you, you will be limiting the damage done by Moss, if Moss has a monster day, then you want to have some part of that and by starting C-pep, you will.

The receiver actually gets 6 points for the TD and one point for the reception. The receiver also gets 1 point for every ten yards and a bonus 5 points he he gets over 120 yds.
The QB gets 4 pts for a throwing TD, 6pts for a running TD, 1pt for every 25yds passing, and a 5pt bonus for over 300 yds.
Thanks for the advice. It will be Culpepper this week. Again, sorry about the start/sit part of this question, but I wanted to know in general what your views are about that type of situation.
Start whoever you think will get you the most points.
It doesn't do you any good if Cpep throws 3 TD's to moss and collins only throws 1 TD total...All it does is ease your mind when watching the game in that you're rooting for the entire Viking offense to suck rather than one individual player. I would start Cpep.
Not to mention that last week only 1 of his 3 TD's were to moss.
