Ronnie Brown: Fantasy Stud or Sell High?

I think you could certainly get Braylon for him now, and probably any WR besides TO - and that deal wouldn't shock me.

That would be an AWFUL trade for the side getting Edwards.

If I could get Reggie Wayne or Larry Fitz, sure. Not Braylon though. No way.

I would not deal Ronnie Brown for TO straight up. It would have to be 2 for 2, with the TO side giving another good player in return.

Based on nothing but simply watching Ronnie Brown play, he is quick, he is smart and he is powerful. Last week's TD run was based purely off the defender assuming that Brown was about to run him over. Then Brown dodged to the left. Watching replay, you can see the SD defender throwing up his arms and giving up even though Ronnie was still at the 5 yard line when he made the lateral jump. That's respect.

Ronnie Brown, right now, is the hottest RB in the NFL, and arguably the #1 RB to own for the rest of the season. Right now, I see Turner, Ronnie Brown, and Adrian Peterson as the top 3 in the NFL if we were to draft again.

RB for Edwards right now would be considered a joke of a trade, given the situations / teams of both players. Edwards would be lucky to score even half the fantasy points of Ronnie Brown at this point.

2. Adrian (still a stud, one week hiccup)
3. Gore (on fire)
4. LT (downgraded because of toe)
5. Portis (Mr. underrated)
6. Addai (still on a great offense, healthy, safe)
7. Westbrook (would be 3 but for the injuries)
8. Marshawn (Mr. Consistency)
T9. Ronnie (settled in now, first two weeks practically don't count towards the rankings in my book)
T9. Burner (explosive, still hasn't shown he can handle the full load for 16)
11. Bush (finally figured out the NFL, needs to stop fumbling though)
12. SJax (still a ton of upside, in a vacuum, he's top 5, on his team, just outside of top 10)

Forte, Chris Johnson, Steve Slaton, Mojo are the honorable mentions.

That's about how I'd rank em right at this moment.

Sadly, I'm not certain LT is a top 10 back. He lied about his toe (saying it was getting better each week and now after the poor Miami game admitted that it was not). This has all the signs of a turf toe injury even though SD was shying away from calling it that.

Marshawn is probably not quite top 10 either. His subpar rushing average and the fact that Buffalo is mixing in Jackson more than we'd care to see is a concern. Well not really a concern but it's keeping him from being a top fantasy back. Forte, Chris Johnson, and Slaton will all continue to produce better. They are given most if not all of the work. Bush's value depends on whether or not your leagues awards for special teams TDs and PPR.

No way do you sell high. He was unstoppable pre-injury last year on a BAD Dolphins team. The team is much improved this year so that would logically mean Brown will be just as good if not better than last year. I realize it is a different offensive scheme than last year, but he is approaching unstoppable again. Brown may not have as many receptions as in the Cam Cameron offense though. Hold on to him and enjoy!!
