I am watching it now, and there has been no reference to his absence. VERY frustrating, as I started him today. Can't find anything, and yes, Rudi continues to be in. Even if Kevin Smith WAS playing, the offense once again behind big, so he'd be getting zip as the Lions completely change their gameplan in desperation.
Thanks for the reply! Let me know if there's an update... I share your frustration... he's a flex player, but still been pretty reliable for 5-10 pts a week in our scoring.
Hi there. I'd say "Welcome to the Cafe", but you don't seem to be a newcomer. So, there should be no reason why I should show you these guidleines, but I will nonetheless. viewtopic.php?t=306251
I know I'm not a moderator, but this is a community. Don't plan on Kevin Smith being a big force this year. Their defense, as I've stated several times, is HORRIBLE, so I while I can understand your frustration, please only use this forum for its intended purpose. CONFIRMED injury status and player updates (asking if a player is injured is not one of its intended uses).
I am a moderator I'm just gonna move this over to the game commentary forum where this thread will see more action on a sunday and get better replies. (plus it probably belongs there )

Since you're so opinionated & candid I will be too. It's a community. So don't act like such a pompous jerk. A simple redirection post would have been fine. But instead, you've infuriated me & I'm just a bystander.

Rudi just got a late TD reception with Smith on the sidelines. At one point on a long 3rd down play in the third quarter, Smith was lined up WITH Rudi Johnson (resulted in an unsurprising sack), so he is not injured. They're not even saying anything on the radio play-by-play. He was in early, then suddenly, NOT playing.

In all honesty, I don't watch too much of the Loins. Smith is still a rookie. Some rookie RB's turn out to be great bargains for an NFL team or just solid players (receiving their fair market value ) and have solid rookie campaigns. Smith may still turn it around, but from the little bit I saw of Smith (only one rushing attempt), it was nothing special. Jon Kitna is not all that impressive, either. On the Lions' first drive, Calvin Johnson was running a crossing route on 3rd down and was open but Kitna elected not to throw it to him. He might have been able to pick up the first down if he got a few YAC, but instead, Kitna I believe just threw an incomplete pass.
