I have both Comcast and DirecTv.
DirecTv has gone out 2-3 times this year, for under 30min each.
It's thick stormy clouds that interrupt the satellite beam.
DirecTv doesn't have ComcastSportsnet, so Philly dudes need Comcst for Flyers, Sixers and Phillies games, or I'd have only DirecTv.
Yeah Sunday Ticket is the FF dream, it makes the anticipation on Sunday mornings feel like Christmas morning as a little kid.!

Mine has gone out a couple times... never for more than 5 minutes.. and it is during HEAVY storms...

as far as getting comcastsportsnet... I think since I have the ALL SPORTS package... we get it?? I will have to check.. I know it seems like that would be a conflict but.. I watch Qadry talk about the RAVENS each week... and it says Comcast Sports...

I highly recommend DIRECTV... I have the SUNDAY TICKET.. and it is awesome!!!

In my case, I had digital cable and satellite both at the same time for about 3 months. The reception (which can vary depending on several factors) was tremendously better with satellite. There are occasional outages...but it's nothing to push a vote for cable.

My brother used to have DirecTV and it would go out slightly when his neighbor used his microwave.
