Trade help needed

Postby Fantasy in Seattle » Sun Sep 01, 2002 4:13 pm

I've been offered Deuce McAllister, William Green and John Carney for Rod Smith, Derrick Mason and Jeff Wilkins

I'm not inclined to make this trade, but I've got pretty good depth at WR - Moss, Boston, Smith and Keyshawn

But weak at RB - F. Taylor, Clinton Portis, Jamal Lewis, James Stewart and K. Barlow

I'm in a 7 team league - standard performance scoring.

Thoughts on just McAllister for Rod Smith straight up? Looking for some second opinions here.

Thanks!

Smith consistently puts up mad numbers, while McAllister hasn't done anything yet.
So, in that case, I'd say no way. However, since you are so deep at WR, taking a chance on Deuce could prove fruitful, as Smith's numbers should come back to earth, now that McCaffrey and Sharpe are back in Denver.

Assuming you can only dress 2 WR, I think the deal of Smith straight up for Deuce could be the way to go. Any lineup that depends on Taylor as the #1 RB scares the crap out of me. I also think Green will be a solid contributor this year, but not for a 7 team league.
