I actually prefer the current level of parity, which seems to produce an average of one unbeaten team per season, than prior seasons when you were arguing between three or four unbeaten teams every year, which made the bowl allocations and polls ridiculously subjective. Nowadays, every BCS conference team basically knows, it's there for the taking if you can run the table.
