WTF, is up with yahoo

i tried to at least get in line for a Def on WW and i get this error -
Errors:
You are not eligible to pick up this player until he clears waivers.

I know that damnit, but isn't there such a thing as waiver priority? since my team is 2-7 i'm a lock for priority.
I've been doing this all season for waivers, this seems like a first.

Were you the one that dropped them? In Yahoo, if you were the one to drop the player/defense, you are not eligible to pick them up off waivers.
