Charles Rogers, is it time to cut and run

Postby Redskins Win » Thu Nov 06, 2003 2:35 pm

I'm not in a keeper league so keeping him on my bench is wasting space. I bet even if he is healthy by week 13 or 14 he won't play. Do you think Joey Harrington "misses him DEARLY"

Nov 6 Lions’ wide receiver Charles Rogers is on the mend, but he’s not close to returning. “He's not there yet,” Lions’ head coach Steve Mariucci told reporters this week. “He's still tender and sore and it's starting to heal and calcify on the X-rays each week. He's not near playing yet.” Rogers suffered a broken right clavicle (collarbone) during practice on October 7 when his legs got tangled up with those of cornerback Dre Bly, as he was running a route.
Views: Would you believe Rogers still leads all Lions’ wide receivers in receptions, yards, and touchdowns? Joey Harrington misses him dearly.

The lasest speculation I've heard is that they are hoping that he will return for the SD game in week 14. When he does return, he will certainly play as they will want to further his route running developing.

I can't beleive he is still on your team. The time to cut bait was when they said out 6-8 weeks. I'd consider picking him up a couple weeks before his return if you can swing it,
