is it a member of your league, or a unbiased outsider......not saying tho that a league member could be biased.

just wondering......so far we have had no problems with our commish who is currently in second place....but would it be a better ides to get a commish from outside the league for next year?
Angel Corpse, Vader, Vital Remains, Morbid Angel, Krisiun, Malevolent Creation, Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Satyricon..........

If you've had no problems with your commish, why change? Outside commishes can be problematic, too; if you have a system that works, by all means stick to it. ;-D

(In my own league, by the way, we rotate the commish duty every so often. No problems to report yet...)

Who the hell would want to commish a league they weren't in?

It's a rarity. No reason to have an external commish anywho. Not if your internal candidate is worth a snot.

I've never heard of a leauge with an outside commish. Who would want to hold such a role? With no vested interest in the league, what is the motivation.

Pretty much I think you have to have a commish that everyone trusts. The league I commish has blind bids, etc all run by me. If my league members didn't trust me to stay honest, then there'd be no league in a very short time.

I have to agree with the Packer dude. I would never even think of the commissioner being someone from outside of the league. I am fortunate that my league's commish is cool and fair. (Althlough he did sit by and watch me get fleeced in a trade once!)

In my leagues the commisg rotates yearly.
"At 60 yards it wont be a record FG distance, It will however set a record for longest post field goal celebration if Gramatica makes it."

Al Michaels, in reference to a Gramatica 60YRD field goal attempt week 5(2003 season) of Monday Night Football.
