I think he's the most fired up person on this team. Some people may hate his first down shenanigans, but he shows some excitement. When something bad happens, he's upset. Half the rest of the team looks like they could care less. That's the Lion mentality. If Roy was on another ream, he'd probably be a fan favorite. Here, he's practically a useless cog in a self-destructing machine. I'm not gonna expect this man to be happy.

So when he acts the same way as TO does towards his QB he gets a free pass 'cause his team sucks?

It's almost like they're intentionally not throwing the ball to their best player. :-t

Problem is that Roy can only complain about things going wrong because the coaching is so poor that the team is nowhere near close to on the same page and the play calling is terrible. So the only thing left for pouty Roy is to whine. If he had a head coach that was worth anything he would have been sat a long time ago and told not to show up your teammates. But the inmates run this asylum.

Anytime a guy does that, he's not acting like a leader. Not every player is a Marvin Harrison type. Some of these guys have more talent in their left nostril than I do. How they act is their business. My kids already know how to act. I'm more irritated by the guys that have a pass bounce off their hands and run off the field with a laugh or smile on their face.

You guys can debate over how much of a douche Roy is, but why are they targeting him so much?

Calvin Johnson was pretty much ignored this game. Against a mediocre D, I was really disappointed by his performance.

There are two reasons that I suspect. One is that Roy whined and Kitna and Colletto/Kippy listened, thusly targeting Sir Pout-a-lot. The other is that the Bears D knows that for some reason the mammothed sized Calvin Johnson does not fight through jams at the line. So he doesn't get to his routes on time and isn't open. So one much wonder why a guy with his skills doesn't get off the line better? Suspect poor coaching over poor attitude but can't rule out both.
The only hope for Calvin owners is that Drew Stanton takes over at QB and somehow stays healthy. He can scramble and buy time for Cal to get open down field.
